A good compendium of Greek myths all in one cover. This book will give one a very good idea and sampling of Greek myths. Useful for getting a "taste" for the kinds of tales mostly known from the ancient Greeks. Also a good background read for the new testament, as the new testament was written in a Hellenized mediterranean. (Yes even Judaism was to some extent slightly to moderately Hellenized, though more so diaspora Judaism than Palestinian).
